Bet types

Singles, multiples and each way

The bet slip places each selection as a single. For doubles, trebles and accumulators, send the legs by message and a trader will price the combination.

  • Single

One selection, one stake. If it wins, you get the stake back plus winnings at the price you took.

  • Double, treble, accumulator

Two, three or more selections joined together. Each winning leg rolls into the next, and every leg has to win. A void leg drops out and the rest carries on.

  • Each way

A win bet and a place bet of the same stake, so the total cost is double. The place part pays a fraction of the odds if your pick finishes in the places.

  • Starting price

In racing you can take SP instead of the price on the board. You're paid at the official price when the race is off.

  • Forecast and tricast

Racing bets on the first two, or first three, in the right order. Offered on races where the card shows them.

  • In-play

Bets on an event that has already started. See Live Betting for how suspensions work.

Odds

Fractional or decimal, same price

Prices on the site are fractional by default, the way most UK bookmakers show them. Switch to decimal with the toggle at the top of the page. Both describe the same price.

A fractional price tells you the winnings for each unit staked: at 5/2 you win £5 for every £2. A decimal price includes your stake: 3.50 means each £1 returns £3.50 in total. To get a potential return, multiply the stake by the decimal price. So £10 at 5/2 (3.50) returns £35, which is £25 winnings plus the £10 stake.

The bet slip does this for you and shows the potential return before you place anything. The figures on this page are worked examples of the arithmetic, not prices on any event.
