Cookie Policy

1. Cookies and local storage

A cookie is a small text file that a website places in your browser. Your browser sends it back to the site each time you load a page, which is how the site knows, for example, that you are still signed in.

Cookies differ in how long they last. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays for a fixed period, even after you shut the browser down, unless you delete it sooner.

Local storage is a similar feature built into your browser. It lets a site save information on your device, but that information is not sent to our servers with every page request. It stays until the site removes it or you clear it.

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations apply to both. We can use cookies and local storage without asking where they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested. We ask for your agreement before using anything that is not.

2. What we use

This is the complete list. Every item is set by messagebet.co itself, and the names below are the ones you will see if you look at the site data your browser holds for us. None of them is used to track you across other websites.

A closer look at each item

MBSESSID is what keeps you logged in as you move between pages. It also carries a security token that stops another website from submitting forms on messagebet.co in your name, a type of attack known as cross-site request forgery. Closing your browser ends the session.

mb_consent remembers what you chose in the cookie banner, so the banner does not reappear on every page. When it expires, we ask you again.

mb_age records that you confirmed at the age gate that you are 18 or over. That confirmation is not age verification. We verify your age separately when you open an account, as our Account Verification page explains.

mb_slip keeps your selections in the bet slip if you change page or reload before placing them. Clearing it empties the bet slip. It has no effect on bets you have already placed, which are held in your account and shown in My Bets.

mb_odds is the only optional item. It is saved only if you allow Preferences. Without it, odds appear in the site's default format each time you visit.

3. The categories in our cookie banner

Our cookie banner groups cookies and storage into four categories:

• Strictly necessary items are always on. Without them you could not sign in, submit a form safely, keep a bet slip or have your cookie choice remembered, so they cannot be switched off in the banner.
• Preferences remember settings that change how the site looks for you. At present this covers mb_odds only.
• Analytics would tell us how the site is used, such as which pages are visited most.
• Marketing would be used to show or measure advertising.

We do not set any analytics or marketing cookies at present. Before we use any, we will add the provider's name and the cookie names to this policy, and they will be set only if you have given your consent.

4. Your choice on your first visit

The banner appears the first time you visit and offers three buttons:

• Accept All allows every optional category.
• Reject Optional keeps only the strictly necessary items.
• Manage Preferences lets you switch Preferences, Analytics and Marketing on or off one at a time before saving.

Rejecting is as quick as accepting, and it does not stop you using any part of the site. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary items are used.

If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will ask you again rather than relying on an earlier Accept All.

5. Changing your choices later

Select the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to reopen your preferences. Any change you save applies from then on. If you switch Preferences off, the site stops remembering your odds format.

Your choices are stored in mb_consent, so you will be asked again if you clear your cookies, use a different browser or device, or come back after the cookie has expired.

If you share a computer, remember that your cookie choice and your bet slip belong to that browser, not to your account. Sign out when you finish, and clear your bet slip if you do not want the next person to see your selections.

You can also manage cookies and site data in your browser settings, usually under privacy or site data, where you can block cookies and clear local storage for messagebet.co. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or place bets.

6. Other websites and messaging services

Our pages link to other websites, such as GAMSTOP, GamCare and IBAS. If you follow one of those links, or open WhatsApp or Telegram to use Message Betting, that service may set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control them.

7. Updates and contact

We update this policy whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or storage item, and the date at the top of the page shows the current version.
